4 Thai short-film programs in the Pioneer Theater
Come and enjoy Thai short films in four special programs: "Films by Kids", the TLa'Frame Animation House Showcase, Naresuan University Short Film Showcase and "Tsunami Digital Short Films", in the Pioneer Theatre, a mini-theater provided by Pioneer Electronics (Thailand) ltd.
"Films by Kids 2009" is supported by the Office of Contemporary Arts, Ministry of Culture. A series of shorts made by elementary- and secondary-school students from all over Thailand, the budding filmmakers came to a workshop and learned how to make movies on their own social environments. It was the second year for the project after a big success in 2008.
The TLa'Frame Animation House Showcase is a compilation of animated shorts by Tawatpong Tangsajjapoj and his company. They have created music videos for Thai singers and bands such as the Photo Sticker Machine and T-Bone. He also made an animation for the World Film Festival this year.
The Naresuan University Short Film Showcase is a special showcase from the Faculty of Architecture, Naresuan University, Phitsanulok. Sorry, there are no English subtitles for this one.
The "Tsunami Digital Short Films" was a project of the 3rd World Film Festival of Bangkok in 2005, and we'd like show them again. Among them are works by such internationally recognized names as Apichatpong Weerasethakul and Christelle Lheureux, Santi Taepanich, Pimpaka Towira, Sonthaya Subyen, Thunska Pansittivorakul , Sompot Chidgasornpongse and Pramote Sangsorn.
All four programs will be screened for free in the Pioneer Theatre throughout the WFFBKK from November 6 to 15 at Paragon Cineplex.

ภาพยนตร์สั้น คบเด็ก...สร้างหนัง ปี 2009 โดยสำนักงานศิลปวัฒนธรรมร่วมสมัย กระทรวงวัฒนธรรม โปรแกรมภาพยนตร์สั้นผลงานจากนักเรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้น และมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย จากทั่วประเทศ ที่ผ่านการอบรมจากโครงการภาพยนตร์สั้น คบเด็ก...สร้างหนัง โครงการอบรมและสร้างภาพยนตร์สั้นสำหรับเยาวชนได้เข้ามาเรียนรู้การถ่ายทอดมุมมองที่มีต่อชุมชนและศิลปวัฒนธรรมในท้องถิ่นของตนออกมาเป็นภาพยนตร์สั้น เพื่อความรู้ความเข้าใจในวัฒนธรรมของท้องถิ่นที่ตนเองอาศัย ที่จัดขึ้นโดยสำนักงานศิลปวัฒนธรรมร่วมสมัย กระทรวงวัฒนธรรมโดยโครงการนี้ได้จัดต่อเนื่องกันครั้งนี้เป็นปีที่ 2 หลังจากประสบความสำเร็จอย่างสูงในครั้งแรกเมื่อปี 2008
TLa'Frame Animation House Showcase รวมมิวสิควีดีโออนิเมชั่นและภาพยนตร์สั้นคัดสรรค์จาก TLa'Frame Animation House และ ธวัชพงศ์ ตั้งสัจจะพจน์ อนิเมเตอร์อิสระผู้สร้างสรรค์งานอนิเมชั่นและมิวสิควีดีโอให้กับศิลปินไทยมากมาย เช่น The Photo Sticker Machine และT-Bone โดย ธวัชพงศ์ ยังเป็นผู้สร้างสรรค์วีดีโอเทรลเลอร์ของเทศกาลภาพยนตร์โลกแห่งกรุงเทพฯครั้งที่ 7 นี้ด้วย
Naresuan University Short Film Showcase โปรแกรมภาพยนตร์สั้นคัดสรรค์ผลงานจากนักศึกษาคณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยนเรศวร จังหวัดพิษณุโลก
ท้ายสุดกับโปรแกรมภาพยนตร์สั้นสึนามิ โครงการภาพยนตร์สั้นที่รวบรวมศิลปินชาวไทย อาทิ อภิชาติพงศ์ วีระเศรษฐกุล, ธัญสก พันสิทธิวรกุล ปราโมทย์ แสงศร สันติ แต้พานิช มาถ่ายทอดมุมมองต่อเหตุการณ์สึนามิในปี 2004 จากการสนับสนุนโดยสำนักงานศิลปวัฒนธรรมร่วมสมัย และ เปิดฉายรอบปฐมทัศน์โลกในเทศกาลภาพยนตร์โลกแห่งกรุงเทพฯครั้งที่ 3 ปี 2005นำกลับมาฉายอีกครั้งเพื่อรำลึกถึง 6 ปีเหตุการณ์สึนามิ
ภาพยนตร์สั้นทั้ง 4 โปรแกรมจะจัดฉายตั้งแต่ วันที่ 6 -15 พฤศจิกายน 2552 เวลาบ่ายโมงครึ่งเป็นต้นไป ไม่เสียค่าใช้จ่ายใดๆ โดยโรงภาพยนตร์ Pioneer Theater ตั้งอยู่บริเวณลานปาเก้ โรงภาพยนตร์พารากอน ซีนีเพล็กซ์ ชั้น 5 ห้างสรรพสินค้าสยามพารากอน
