“I carried you home”, is a contemporary Thai family portrait of two sisters, estranged by the tide of modern day life, who reunite when their mother suddenly dies while singing karaoke in the food court of a shopping mall. Younger Pann lies to her mother about extra class to get out of spending time with her just moments before she collapses, while older Pinn misses the calls to inform her while at work in Singapore where she had moved a few years prior to get away from her family constrain. Then the journey begins. The two sisters transport the body from Bangkok to their village in southern Thailand forces the girls to confront the secrets and resentment they have been hiding their whole lives. With a little the help from a humorous ambulance driver, Tor, they begin to rebuild their relationship as they come to terms with their mother’s death.
