Hamdi, a wig seller in a run-down district of Istanbul, is lonely. He spends days and nights in his shop, which is also his home. He has cancer but chain-smokes, staring out of his window at a prostitute standing on the other side of the street. He has no expectations, except perhaps of going somewhere far away before he dies. One day, Meryem comes to his shop to sell her very long hair. “Hair” is the third part, after 'Riza' and 'Haze', of Tayfun Pirselimoglu's trilogy of films exploring the compulsions of life on the edge.
