Synopsis

A quiet, deep study of family life in Chad, the film centres around Adam, a former central African swimming champion, the security guard at the swimming pool of an expensive hotel. When new Chinese management comes in, Adam is demoted to gate security and his son Abdel takes his job at the pool. Jealous of his son’s success and with conflict looming, Adam sends Abdel to join the war and is restored to his old post. But he is haunted by guilt and soon sets off to rescue his son.
