Synopsis

Architecture adds an utterly tangible, physical dimension to the abysmal cleavage between rich and poor in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Recife, where a female inhabitant of a penthouse notes that the shootings down in the streets look like fireworks if you live on the 15th floor. The sky is the only roof over the heads of the rich elite, and it is prestigious to live at the top. Even if the small dollhouses of the slums are visible from the balcony, and although the social vertigo is not exactly improving. The total lack of connection with the ground is paralleled in the young director Gabriel Mascaro's impressive and intelligent camera work, which follows the construction of yet another skyscraper and gives us a wordless summary in the motif of children, who are sunbathing in the sun rays between the oblong shadows of the skyscrapers.  The documentary film High-Rise explores the social and cultural mindset of the Brazilian elite through dialogues with the owners of eight penthouses in Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Recife. Permeating the film’s interviews, a poetic visual and sound narrative provides an evocative insight into the ‘verticalization’ of the Brazilian cityscape. This is a film about height, status and power and questions the elite in a way that has never been done before in Brazilian cinema.   Lesben Fick Kostenlose Sex Porno Filme Gratis xxx videos XXX fickfree porn
