Heart of Jesus

  • Bolivia, Germany, Chile / 2004 / 88min / Colour
  • Original Title : El Corazon de Jesus
  • Director : Marcos Loayza

Synopsis

The director admits to having created a ìblack humour comedy that probes into the feelings about the meaning of life in poor societyî. In a sonata structure (allegro, adagio, allegro) Jesus, who has managed to survive in the jungle of state bureaucracy, will learn to live with those who have lost it all, and all that is left for him is to wait for death. The film is a metaphor about the meaning of living in crisis in one of today's poorest societies, and features character that, in spite of himself, gives the others the will to live.
