When I was young film-lover watching movies rarely seen in ordinary theatres - at academic institutes, foreign institutes and embassies - I always dreamed of one day organizing a film festival because I truly believed that Thailand, and especially Bangkok, had the potential to become a world capital of culture and that a film festival could be just the tool to help make that dream come true.
